Two more to show - Bee - here is one for you - what would a garden be without a birdhouse. I was giggling - hope you like it.
Bluelady - this is nonesuch from quilters cache.
Have to redo my third block - I did so much frog stitching that the seams are too thin

ok finished two more blocks today. Billi my piece of fabric from you was only 8" wide. that is hard to make a block from for sure! I made one up and hope you like it but truly next month maybe we could get a bit bigger piece? pretty please??? I was so happy I am going to finish this next week! all of them!!! anyone have any sites that they go to besides quilters cache for ideas for blocks? I end up making the same five or six that I can remember when I sit down. would love a variety of other newer blocks to do!
I will get this back to Janice next weekend and I can say I have had so much fun seeing the different fabrics. this is the best selection yet to work with. I love all of them!

I type in some key words to the search engine then look at the pictures under bing, (like "interesting quilt blocks ,or curved pieced quilt blocks, etc...) when I see something that intrigues me I try and find a pattern for it, or figure one out myself.

Good morning, swappers. There have been some beautiful blocks posted! What a pleasure to see!
I've been a bit awol lately from this thread but have been slowly working behind the scenes on the gallery as well as finishing up my part of another swap that's just about ready to go in the mail. It's been really busy here with little free time but I hope I'll have more in the coming week or two so I can make more March blocks soon.

your a very good quilter however I see your avatar and wowsa. I am a advanced.. beginner lol I was an intermediate quilter but everytime I go for a big surgery I go back two steps. Its not fun! so I love easier beginner blocks for me ok hard beginner blocks if there is such a thing and the variety of blocks that can be made simply but pretty.
I have two out on the table to do now.. difergie and the blue pink yellow with gilding flower fabric from I .. forget sigh. but those are the next two to go. Do you need some of difergie's fabric still Janice? if so PM me and I will get that to you soon as I am done with my block. it might not be much but anything helps I think ? I am hiding those two blocks of fabric as one of my cats takes the bags and walks off. literally. I find them all over the livingroom and bedroom. sometimes on the bed, sometimes under the sideboard. sigh. he sure loves that crinkly sound of plastic. sigh.

Elisabrat - I know exactly what you are saying - easy block, but still a wow (and I don't mean white on white!!)
I have been playing with HST - half square triangles. My cutting and sewing 1/4" skills have slipped. When I googled hst quilt block patterns - and then looked at the images - wow - there are so many. A lot using just two colors. I have been having fun with them this boom, and using them in the quilt I am making. And if I go slowly, my blocks turn out to be the correct size - imagine that!!

Some blocks I can only get perfect by over sizing and cutting to the right size. I have found that especially true w/ the curved piecing I have been trying.
I agree my favorites are simple, but look complicated.
