Had to do a little fix myself
received, measured a full 1/4" short and didn't make sense to me

Changed to this and had to add more fabric to one of the half square triangles to get to the correct size

Very cool fix, in the quilt it won't even be noticeable at all. Participating in swaps gives you practice at creative fixes, but it also encourages new quilters so I think it is worth it.

Yes Kassandra and that is exactly why I didn't complain. Will let the leader of the swap know just so she can monitor her next few blocks to make sure she is improving

my issue is I am a smidge short on the blocks with more pieces. the more rows the more likely I will be about 1/8th or less short. what is with that?? I have a 1/4 inch foot on the darned machine. I thought with that it wouldn't go short but I was wrong. so keeping it still a slight less tight against the foot must be the answer!

Welcome to all who want to take the challenge!

I've finished my blocks and am ready to send. Working on April's boom now and will pull out the UFO after that.

I've had some really close calls size wise this time around. Just made 12 1/2 several times. Decided on a new block I've never made for Joanelizbay. After all was said and done, it was a whole inch short. Fortunately I was able to take it apart. Joan, you now have a 9 patch. Sorry. Forgot to bring in the camara cord. Will post my last few blocks tomorrow.
