Just checking in and to let the people in the Mother's day challenge know that I've completed the first set of blocks for my quilt. I had redesigned the 2nd set of blocks and made a sample to be sure the pattern was right. It worked out great but hubby doesn't like the yellow so I will be changing them to red flowers.
Here's a preview of the blocks and a drawing of what the quilt should look like when done.

Thought the mailings were first week of March for 2 month group and first week of April for 3 month group. Feeling a bit confused...

Crafty, the blocks are DUE IN MY HANDS ON MARCH 2 FOR THIS GROUP AND APRIL 2 FOR THE APRIL GROUP. HOWEVER, some swappers finish early and want to send early. (I've already gotten 4 or 5 packages of completed blocks.) PLEASE NOTE: I MUST RECEIVE THE BLOCKS BY THOSE DATES. They are NOT the mailing dates. Hope that helps!!!

FYI, the batik I used is only purples. The spots look blackish in the photo but they aren't. Hope you like it.

Beautiful Janice! I am lovin' this fabric with the purple...really pops with a rich and soothing quality!
Here is my for block Libster! I am really proud of this star...called "Folded Star" in Quilter's Cache. It measured at 12 - 1/2" square with little trimming. Its only taken me 116 blocks to get it right.
I can see this block pattern used to make a 24" x 24" center medallion using the center for a showcase element.
