Blocks are on their way! Had trouble with the email to Janice so I pm'd her also.

NanaKathy my block is beautiful. I think I'm more excited about getting these back than the other booms . . . for some reason. Maybe cause I'll use this one in my new "retirement" home.

Libster, Good find, girl. I hit a Walmart $1 sale like that a while ago and bought some then at payday went back and bought some more. Then I hit a JoAnn Sale after that and did the same thing PLUS had a 25% off everything coupon. My DD was visiting last week and has officially labeled me as a hoarder. BUT she left with a much heavier suitcase then she came with.

teriamn - we have a 39' fifth wheel trailer. We started in 2003, and have been led to go where God leads. We have taken care of our Grands full time in AZ ; been there for transporting my aunt to chemo and doctor appts in FLa; Spent time in NY with my mom; spent many months with American Red Cross after hurricanes and tornados; this past summer we were in MD with our daughter and newest GD. Haven't been to FL in a number of years and are now catching up with all the friends we have met on the road. Will go to NY this summer to help my mother, and that is as far as I plan. (God laughs at me when I plan) We say we are semi-retired because we still work seasonal jobs.

Boomers - I thought and thought about posting this.......being the "buzzy" Bee that earned me my name.....here it is! This is my attempt at applique.. . It was going to be a cute little monkey for Elizabrat. I started out with a really cute design. First I thought I would turn the edges under, however the little leaves were giving me fits. It was then I decided to "phone-a-friend" who is nationally awarded and recognized for her art quilting collection. A few great tips and I headed for my machine manual to get the right settings and pressure foot.

I allowed myself 3 days to attempt this before mailing my blocks. I enlisted my DH to help cut tiny pieces. I glue basted the pieces to the background fabric. Loooookkkkking Goooood, I thought! It was not until I got behind the machine and hit the foot pedal that I realized how bad I am at this. Below is where I am today.....day three of this project. I must go in the mail with my blocks by my Monday deadline.

I think its best to abandon this attempt.....don't you? (Hahahahaha!) My finished blocks will go in the mail Monday morning....sans the "Mr. Monkey Business".

Buzzy Bee (P.S.) Rolling on the Floor laughing out loud is permitted!

I won't laugh at your attempt, BBB, because how else do we learn and grow? Definite points for effort! I am, however, ROFLOL at Difergie's pun...
