I couldn't get it to post as a picture either, had to do the copy paste thing to get the cartoon pic to post. But I found out I can only copy paste from another site, not from my computer as a source.

Kat.. I am with you. Most of my quilts are for everyday......dogs, hubby, kids, mother. This is the first quilt I have "fussed over". It will be my holiday quilt for sure. I have tried some small "free motion" quilting on my machine.....and like anything else.....the more I do it the better I get. I will use the cut-away from this quilt to practice.

I had the same problem uploading last night.....kept saying the file was not a valid image file..use jpeg, jpg. gif or png! Well it was a jpg file...reduced resolution and I finally chose one that I had previously posted as a test. Didn't work. Then, for fun, I right-click copied the photo from facebook and pasted it into the post window and like magic there it was! Must be some problem with QB tech.

Bee the design was machine embroidered, I think I hand stitched the back of the binding down on the snowflake but machine stitched the binding down on the snowmen.that one took me a total of two hours to do from planning it as I went to free motioning and finishing the binding. No label needed as we are presenting the gal who hostess's our growth group with gifts for her home to thank her for having us every week. I am the only one who quilts, bet she figures out who made it

Terriamn I have the accessories with my machine to machine embroider uploaded patterns. Haven't had the time to get into it much. Just been doing ID name tags and some words on quilt blocks. I have spent a lot of time with Free Motion feature and I love it. I have learned that I need to start working when I am rested and not try to out run my energy level or I start messing up. I bought a couple of FM classes on Craftsy that I really like and can go back and re-take anytime. I found them very confidence building for a beginner. As for turning down the binder on the machine...tried it once.....it was a fiasco! The hand sewing is my preference and it keeps my fingers working.

Love your work and you are fast......I am definitely the turtle

Bee remember I am freshly retired, was having a hoot playing with my embroidery machine, it truly amazes me. If it wasn't for this back flair I had planned on making lots more Christmas gifts. Finished what needed to b done, consecrating now on baking and letting back rest. When it's better look out sewing room

Terri, Bee, great job on your challenges both of the Christmas quilts are beautiful. Bee I see my block I love the way your quilt came together it gives me hole for mine once it is done.

Difergi pretty soft colors I love the idea of using it as the background fabric

Moonrise still love that fabric so soft.

It's getting close to go time!!!!

I am on Long Island, NY to spend the holidays with my mom. Today she had surgery for her double hernias - all went well but she is sore. Tomorrow will get the sewing machine out and practice my HST blocks. My mom also has a pile of sewing/mending for me to do.
Can't wait to see everyones fabric - of course my stash is in KY so I can't match anything up yet. Am so looking forward to a month of down-time in FL. Nothing but sew and play with fabric. So many ideas, so little time.
Happy Chanukah - may you have eight days of fabric and notions
