Thanks ladies for the comments on my CW blocks. I made a PP pattern just for them to make it easier on me. The white fabric is really a very pretty grey w/ white butterflies. I am accenting my underground railroad w/ butterfly fabric, I thought a fitting symbol of change and freedom.

Oh and they are 12.5 inch already.

I am fascinated by 3D illusion in 2D space, so I chose color/value specifically to enhance that look.

Note to self have all pictures taken with sunglasses on at sunset, wind dried hair and no makeup :-) . here this should be large enough to actually see us. I will admit there is no doubt that they are mine.

Kass...those are 12 1/2" already?? PP does NOT stand for paper piecing does it?? I cant get the hang of that.
Would you care to let me borrow the patten if its 12 1/2??? The one I made was almost a full size bed pattern then I cut that one down and made 9 blocks for one quilt...Id love a smaller block in the carpenter square!! Its SO pretty and I agree about the 2d look!!

OK you mere spring chickens.....here is my 65th birthday photo! I started letting my hair grow out so that I could join the local "Platinum Club" and I am proud to say, I joined on my birthday this past August. The 60's are even better than the 50's.....
