For those who haven't yet heard, Elisabrat "Brat", passed away a few days ago after a long illness. She was a long time Boom participant, from way before I came along. She ran swaps and participated in many more. My condolences to her family and many, many friends. She will be greatly missed.

On a happy note, I got the blocks put together. Terrible picture with light showing through, but I wanted you all to see how fun it looks. Won't get to sandwiching until head clears, but did not want to start another boom without finishing this one. Thank you one and all, such creativity. I have missed Brat since the summer, and always loved working with her. I hope we all get together in 2016 and make some more dynamite blocks for each other.
Merry Christmas

Wishing you all have an opportunity to spend time with your family and friends this holiday, regardless of which ones you may celebrate. And since 2016 is right around the corner, Happy New Year too!

TG it turned out great, that sashing is perfect. I've been side tracked w/ the Bonnie Hunter mystery so haven't started on the kids quilts yet. Hopefully after the first I can start. That is sad about Elisabrat, I didn't "know" her, but just from some recent (last 6 months) posts I knew she was quite ill.

Janet the top looks great. Those blocks are so fun with that fabric and you did a perfect sashing. Sorry to hear about Elisibrat. I really enjoyed swapping with her.
Merry Christmas everyone. Will be watching for the next swap.

Who would have thought that a simple stripped fabric would make such an awesome kid quilt.

Hello Boomers! Wow how time flies.....I can't believe is been such a long time since my last post here. Been super busy with family and other visitors this fall. Looks like things will be calming down and Mr. B and I will settle in for a nice relaxing Christmas with local friends and family. Mom is doing same....taking her a small tree for her room this afternoon. Kid a quick read of past posts, still need to read further. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to our next quilting adventure. Would love to see projects everyone is working on.
Here is my next project to come off the finishing board. This is a mini-quilt I started during out retreat art quilting class. Still have to tack down a couple of the embellishments and shadow-box frame it for a Christmas gift. I named it Snow Day Celebration!
