Flowergurl love your block!
Sounds like libby is going through a tough time! My dad had Meniere's disease which is a chronic disorder of the inner ear. You have your good days & your bad days. Hope that libby will be able to find a way to work with it. You just take one day at a time.
Here is my block for LInda. (Not sure of your name on the forum since it's not on the card) I think it turned out nicely!

This is a Paula Vaughn XS design called "Cameo of the Past". I was never too "into" PV but my main hobby for 30 plus years was cross stitch and I can spot her work at 20 paces. Nice find!

LOVE counted cross stich - loved doing and creating all the intricate pictures. But that was before arthritis. now I create with material!! Started matching my stash with the fabric, and then looking (again) at different block patterns until something calls out to me. But that got all interrupted. My DH decided to use the handheld steam cleaner to defrost our small freezer the other day. the next day my allergies really were bothering me, and today I noticed the carpet under the freezer was still wet. We pulled out the rug and it was filled with black mold. The rug under it was filled with black mold. Allergic to mold so my head started to spin and I had to leave. He has washed, and sprayed it with everything except bleach , lifted it up off the floor below and used the wet vac. Still can't get near the area, which means the entire living area. So sewing will be on hold here.
Of course I escaped to the beach with a book and enjoyed the sunshine. The local Brewery a mile down the road is having a band and serving tacos outside with their beer tonight, so I will have to go there for dinner. Always turn a bad situation to a good one!!

I love all her patterns, they look homey to me.
The sewing can wait TG, enjoy the beach!! Bonus, you can't even help with the clean up.

That X stitch you picked up is a bargain! Did that same pattern my self years ago and it takes a whole lot of time. I don't do it too much anymore, hands don't do well and usually have to have the patterns blown up to read each little mark better. Understand those allergies, it's allergy medicine before I even walk out the door in the summer.
