What did I do before this Boom16 started? What am I gonna do when it's over?

I think I get to go to JoAnn's tomorrow. No white fabric. I used it on Joanelizbay's block today. Wonder if I can only buy a piece of white?

Ah, GramE. Spoken like a true Boomer. Welcome to our club. You will find that you are well and truly hooked for life. IMHO, there's no better place to be. (((((Hugs))))) Sister.
What you can do when Boom 16 is over is to look for new patterns for Boom 17. Also, go ahead and wash and dry your fabric and decide what colors you'd like to complement it. I have even been known to go ahead and have mine cut and bagged, all ready to be mailed out. Oh, and don't forget to go to USPS.com and order your bubble flat-rate bags. I order the package with 15. They're free and delivered right to your mailbox. Nothing like being prepared!

This hat is awesome. I think Moonwork should adopt me and make me a quilt just like this one.

I had exactly zero white when I joined my first boom I had to go buy white in order to play. ....I've learned the value of it even in my own quilts I now have almost a whole shelf dedicated to, wow, off white, cream and all variations on them. Except plain ole white I have a few scraps of just plain white left over from Anna's F8.

    Kass nice tease

Terri it's beautiful, it took me forever to figure out that simple swirl on the back once you get it it will one of those duh moments. I find clipping a few threads helps too.

    Thank you.
As for white, I order my Kona solid white and solid black online. I usually get 3 yards of each when I order them. Nothing compares to them for solids. I also pick up WOW and COC wherever I can find them. I've found that my main drawback is solid creams. I tend to go more for TOTs. But, when necessary, I will bite the bullet and force myself to go fabric shopping. Life is hard. LOL

That would be funny ... but ... you'd only be about 15 minutes from Hancocks of Paducah and the Quilt Museum and there's at least 6-8 other fabric stores within 30 minutes... could you handle that?

Hi, Donna. I'm not participating this round, but I am a native of PB and had to stop and say welcome to the boomers swap. It is really simple. You send one fat eighth per person in your group usually 19 or fewer to the swap coordinator. You tell them if you have a color preference. They make a block for you. They send you a fat eighth and color preference and you make them a block.

Health issues kept me from playing this time, but I am eagerly awaiting the next one.
