Beethoven is playing, proper color of thread in machine, DH is out of the house. I only have two blocks left. These scraps are all that is left of Libster's fat eighth. I have made or mock made up 4 different blocks before this one. Now if the one I have laid out next to me doesn't work, someone might have to come & revive me. All things considered, I'm happy. Let's hope Beethoven will keep me on an even keel & when it is sewn together I will still be happy.

My goal is usually to just have scraps left over of the swappers fabric. I try to use as much of their fabric as possible, and many times have ended up w/ threads only left. lol (unless they post they are short of fabric then I try and choose patterns that will allow for left overs)

12 1/2". I'm happy. 61 pieces. I think is hard for me because my ADD brain doesn't want to cut up fabric that has big motifs. I hope this works for you, Libster.

Why is it the more straight forward ones give you the biggest headaches?

I wasn't going to sew today, had other plans, but our central air had a Freon leak in the house last night giving me a big asthma attack, so I've been house bound (nearly couch bound) w/ angry lungs.

This one is for annaquilts. It is done, 12.5 inch and has good points, but man o'man did it put up a fight!

I meant to say I think it is a variation of the Mexican Star, but not 100% sure on that.

Cause the 39 piece block was only 10 inches. I forgot to look at size as I was going through Quilter's Cache. And I did'nt want to just add an off white border so I just figured I'd keep on doing what I had been doing. You get 61 pieces when you make 4 blocks you don't like first! I'm just happy the last one I put together had reasonably the same sized pieces width wise as this one. I have no chocolate or orange left at all. It was an adventure. And when Beethoven got done before I did, I knew I kinda in hot water! But I saw the bad ones so this one looks pretty good. & DH agreed.

I've a nap, now I need to go make 8 dozen cookies for youth group tonight!
