Thanks for the nice comments about the blocks I made for GrandmaDi and terriamn. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of either of them. They are ones I've seen and then drew out on graph paper. Neither one of them is complicated and I am sure you all could do the same.

when I get home tomorrow I'll see if I can find the name of the fabric but I think this is one that has been sitting for a long time because it was long quarter yards not fat.

As a follow up my dad was able to go home yesterday from the care center, I will be going home next weekend to see him.

Photos are a definite learning curve for me every time Windows changes. I have Windows 10 now. I know I like it much better than Windows 8 or 8.1. Still a lot of adjusting to do for me.

Here is Jaba's block - I had to make a couple adjustments to the pattern since I grabbed my 6" ruler instead of my 6.5" ruler for the center square, Amish Star from quilter's Cache, I hope you like it.
