Boy has it been busy here some fun and some not so fun. Picked up the 2 youngest grandkids yesterday and went to grocery store for picnic food. Had a great picnic, the kids were great and had fun playing at the park. Brought them home and found out yesterday their big sister had her first big breakout seizure in several years. Abby was riding her bike at the time and smacked into a tree. She just got back on her bike and didn't tell anyone. Yesterday morning when she was getting ready for school her Mom saw her leg that was all scraped up and asked what in the world happened. Abby told the truth but said before you start yelling I didn't tell anyone because I knew everyone would be upset. The scary part is she will be 13 this August and going into puberty can throw off her medications for Epilepsy and aggravate her neurological disease, TSC. Her next scheduled MRI is in June praying for no major changes.

Here is my block for jclinganrey: I have it listed as 3 color star and then in parentheses I have a note that it probably has a different, better name so if anyone know its name, please comment.

Terri, does she have any warning or an internal sense that she is having a seizure? I've read where they have service dogs who know when a seizure is coming on & can warn their person to get safe. Those transition years into teens are difficult even without the added complication of seizures. She already has noticed that it causes those around her stress and anxiety. A sensitive young granddaughter you have there. Prayers for wisdom as teenaged angst enters the picture. We have one 16 1/2 yr old granddaughter & one 14 who is in the storms of teenaged life!
