Well, I got my envelopes and got my blocks all mailed. Now just waiting. Nope, got a shadow quilt to make for graduation before the 11th. Was trying something else, but buying over the internet is hard & some of the tones are off so it will be for another day when I can find a balancing fabric. 2019 we will have 4 grands graduating, so maybe by then I'll have it figured out.

What do you all think of this? Had the pink floral forever, it just doesn't seem to go with anything, pink that is. But I watched a MQ tutorial last week & then thought of this fabric & the grey/blue tones. I think I want to make it smaller, this square is 20 inches, but I'm just in the looking at it phase. I think I like it, but the size is a bit overwhelming. I like all the room for fancy quilting though.

very pretty, it could be your focus block and all the others around it to compliment it

Very pretty but unless you are going to do some real fancy quilting I would also make it a smaller block

Totally agree with you! So I have to decide if I'm going to send it out to be quilted or hand quilt it myself.

As a longarm quilter, I look at it going YES!!!! That space for quilting would be awesome for a beautiful floral wreath there. I love the pink with this background. It has a beautiful showcase appeal.
