My Gpa told my brother the same thing about deer. He spent hours wondering through the woods w/ a salt shaker.

Janet those are Huechera, about 3 years old, have them in the fall colors also. The coral bells are skate red through the garden and the Astibbles are in full bloom right now. Front use to have a large rose bed, then neighbor let some ugly tree grow. Now I have a shade garden

I have several huechera in different colors. Am trying to find out which work best where. My 2 favs are a GA Peach and Fire Chief

fire chief - not a good pic bit it is flaming red when the sun hits it. It gets about three hours of the hottest sun and is doing great.

Georgia Peach from earlier this year. It gets very pink/peachy when it gets just a little sun but right now it's very shaded and has become quite dull bin another two months the sun will get to it again and shell pink back up.

my astilbes are pink but their blooms faded fast in our heat.

Janice, love the georgia peach! I'm going to have to look for these and see if they can grow here. Would look great on my Koi pond.

Nice job Jaba! Congrats on (another!!!) finish. Bet someone will be thrilled to see Bam Bam under the three.

Huechera likes shade but those with darker leaves generally can take more sun. It's kind of a game to find out which ones work where. I hope they grow out by you. So many varieties and colors.

Your little is going to love this one, Jaba. You sure didn't let any grass grow under your feet getting this one finished! Good job.
