Woke up his morning it was 58 degrees outside. Closed the windows and turned on the electric heater. It's usually terribly hot and humid for my birthday so I'm lovin this refreshing cool day
Terri, please send some of that cool air on down NC way. The humidity here is like swimming right now. Lucky you.
    Oh, and Happy Birthday too!!

" ...My grandson wants a "fish" quilt but I have no idea what that means...hes 11 and they just got back from Florida and the beach and swimming with dolphins...decisions decisions decisions...... "

Wow, Joan, I see an applique fish coming on for this one. I also have some fish print if you'd prefer pieced. Oh, did I happen to mention...I have a whole lot of fabric! And you know you want to make more blocks with us. I envy you that whole bolt of white TOT! Nice score on both bolts.

Libster...they have a really good sale going on right now. I know its a lot to store but its sure worth it in price! Ill have to talk to Conner this weekend and see what he means by "fish" quilt. They are NOT kids anymore but not quite teens yet either..they still all sleep under their Patch Pal animal quilts I made them but are "mentally" outgrowing that phase. I LOVE applique things but am not very good at it...Ill have to think on this one for awhile!
I LOVE swapping, love the conversations and pictures...its like a crack addiction!

Just ordered two bolts of fabric from Fabric4less out of California..2.75 a yard for RJR Blue tonal 108" and 2.75 a yard for white TOT in 45" from South Seas fabric. They are really good fabrics but you have to buy it by the bolt so I don't get something for just one quilt..get something that I can use on several backings or fill ins...I have so much fabric that I could use for Boom 17 but I also have quilts all over the place that I don't use, just hang on Jabas ladder her husband made for me to show them off...have to change them out soon and let 5 more have their turn..Ive donated 3-4 this year to Honor Flight and St Judes and at work for door prizes...guess I need to donate more so I have room for new Boom quilts! Love love love that site I may or may have not bought 10 plus bolts from them over the years including booms 14 15 and 16 and the backing for 14 Damn now I have to go browse their site hahahaha

I don't know what a fish quilt is either but I can't wait to find out if thats how you decide to go.

Oh me oh my - step back for a day and wow! Made my GS a fishing and hunting theme a few years ago because he likes to fish and hunt. So I have scrapes of real looking fish. then there are the scrapes of funny fish too! Have made beach/ocean quilts so love doing those - have some really cool seagull patterns.
Hmm - music - think I have a few guitars left over from another project if we can use them.
and loving the beautiful red....just may have to find matching silver
GramE - anything you make is out of this world - can't wait
Kass - lots of ideas floating around.
As for my fabric - autumn leaves -
