Dog was going crazy and Abby said sorry grams but I'm going to freak out. I was scared because I Was worried about her Everything has calmed down now and I have a whopping headache and Abby is bouncing off the walls reacting to her anxiety. This has been a terrible season for storms

Thanks Abby is fine today. Kids bounce back so fast. Good friend of mine had her first grandchild today. She never thought that was part of her future and she is now on cloud 9 I am so thrilled for her

Finally back in my own "home". Have slept in my own bed for 4 nights out of the past 30. And tomorrow the company starts and two grands will be with us till end of month. BUT I got my top almost done. Will put on the green batik border. thank you - your blocks were so much fun. Have a couple that I plan to use on the back.
Loving all the fun fabrics coming in. Too much to take in right now.
I really miss you all and hate it that I haven't had access to Computer. And then with grands won't be doing much sewing (accept with GD).

Kass - have to pass on a chicken story. My friend has chickens but no rooster. One was broody (wanted to hatch her eggs) and became obsessed. So they went and got a dozen fertile eggs and she is so very happy, stretching herself to keep every egg underneath. When they candled them and found only 10 were growing so took the two bad ones out. She noticed and wasn't happy. They had to put two back in under her! Some are just made to be mommies!

I love this idea for assembly. I may have to steal it for Hedge's space quilt

Love the broody story. People who have never experienced a broody growl will never know how primally viscous they are about being moms.

Brooding or not, I never liked getting in the coop to change the water or get the eggs. I think they know I like fried chicken!
