The twins birthdays was yesterday and of course I had made them each a quilt. Haydens was a "I love school" panel in brown because hes in a gifted program in 5th grade and Hailees was a pink/purple butterfly quilt since shes a little devia.... When I called them over to the car to help me carry stuff in the other 11 year old said "wheres my quilt"..guess it was obvisious due to the packaging! LOL I think they each have 3 on their beds now..waiting for them to finish elementary school to do the t-shirt quilt..then will do middle school and finally high school...sure hope Im still quilting by then!!

    Hi Ladies,
I didn't put any special directions with my F8, but you will all get the same focus fabric so what ever you come up with I'm good with that,
can't wait to see your creations.
    Thanks
    Kat

You have a plan, girl! With my 12 it is hard to keep up!
But I can agree they do keep track. About 2 months before his 10th birthday, Elijah came to & said, "GramE, did you remember that you made Ethan (his brother) a quilt for his birthday? Did you remember that my birthday is coming soon?" Some are easier to pick a theme than others, & that is what had me dragging my feet on Elijah's.

Yes, Jaba, Now I feel bad for you. Good things come to those who wait. I see some waiting in our futures.

You are blessed, Joanelizbay. What a wonderful "mixture" you have.

and you are right Libster, I'm so glad we had those 9 new babies when I was younger. It is refreshing to be able to say, "ok, time to go home!" I could ever have had cared for them now. God knew what he was doing.

Kassaundra, what does an Art Deco square look like? Does that just refer to the fabric used or the style?
I was referring to it as a style.

Re: pix, the problem is being fixed per a post from PatriceJ. She asks for patience. We're boomers, we're all about waiting, aren't we? Well, except for katsdar and me who already have our f8s. cue evil laugh...

I don't remember if it was in the 2 or 3 month group that someone asked if anyone had an idea for the comic "pow" sign. I didn't answer at the time b/c I had not thought of anything. I was scrolling through a quilting fb site this morning and saw this picture and immediately thought of that question. The "POW" would likely have the be appliqued though. http://www.collectspace.com/news/news-110113a.html
