Hooray! I love this fabric. It is Terriamn's. I'm avoiding triangles for a while.

Thank you all for your encouragement. I should have known better than to pick triangles right outta the gate. I have some easy chair squares scheduled next!

I love this. I can't wait to have them all done!

GramE, beautiful block. I love the colors. When I make pairs of HST's like that, I cut a square of each fabric an inch or so bigger, lay them right sides together, draw a diagonal line corner to corner, sew 1/4 inch on both sides of the line, cut on the line and voila, I have two HST's that I trim down to size. If I am making lots of them, like for a Carpenter's Square, I use the "Magic 8" method. I would post a link to that, but I don't know how.

Yes, that would be my practice also, but after I decided on this square I realized it was only 6". And so multiplication came into play. I have the link, just couldn't figure out the new ratio for 12 1/2 ". My brain is on hiatus for a few hrs!

thanks for the help, though. And everyone's kind words.

katsdar I received the blue green squares and wonder what colors you would like added. I was thinking WOW or did you want me to try and match any of the colors in the squares?

GramE, that's a block to be proud of! I love it. Now that you've done your first one and your feet are wet, you should be fine, Girl!
