    moonwork42029 glad you like the block. I loved sewing it! Tried to get the black lines flowing through it but it came pretty close. That is a fun fabric and naturally I had to go with purple

    I'm hoping to use this as my center block for the top. I think my granddaughter will like it. That's why I want all the bright colors to go around it. I'll probably make it 18" and then have a colorful piano key border on it to bring it to 24".

    Oh snap, it wasn't that large...I'll try to reduce it

    That was one of the first things I noticed about that block that you fussy cut so the lines flowed.

    I have been looking at the blocks for "OA's" they are just beautiful, these and those blocks are going to make some very nice quilts.

    First block for this group! It belongs to QuiltAddict, and the pattern is "Moon Over The Mountain" from Quilter's Cache. The orange-y colors reminded me of a full moon (complete with "crater"-like designs! ), so I paired it with purple batiks in two different shades. Hope you like it!
