Ladies your blocks look wonderful and I really want to thank you very much. I have enjoyed making them for this group and hope you can use the block I made from your fabric. If you have not finished your blocks yet, please read the notes and requests and if at all possible use what colors were requested.

Please, from here on out, use only SOLID WHITE on Jaba's blocks for this group. I don't believe Jaba specified white-on-white (wow) in her requests. This is one of those instances where a quick pm to the fabric owner is very helpful.

I have seen a number of other blocks being made that do not follow the requests as I saw them but I don't check each and every piece of fabric that goes through my hands. There have been times when color requests varied with a single fabric so I must rely on the block maker to really READ AND UNDERSTAND the requests that come with the fabric. DO NOT RELY on pictures you see posted (as has happened before) because if one person posts a block with mistake, it absolutely will be perpetuated. Please stick with what is written down!

    Thanks everyone!

Oh, Lord, I'm one who messed up on Jaba's block. The note I received says use "ONLY WHITE" with the fabric received. It doesn't specify solid or wow. I interpreted it wrong and used wow. Jaba, I am so sorry. if you have any of your fabric left, I will gladly make you another block.

Don't worry Libster, it was an easy mistake. I believe I made virtually the same one in OA and I've pm'd that person about it. I can easily remake mine and if she likes, that' just what I'll do. So NanaKathy...look for my pm! ) Just PM Jaba and go from there...

All the blocks are wonderful! What a talented group.

Here's my block for Grama Di:

It's a block from Carol Hopkins; one of her Civil War blocks. Don't know the name. If someone knows the name of this block, please let us know.

I'm in a predicament. I started Libster's block. I calculated carefully, measured and re-measured and darned if I don't have quite enough fabric to finish her awesome block. ((way too labor intensive to do a mock up)). For those who have finished Libster's block, is there any chance you could mail me your (her) leftover fabric???

    I'll gladly compensate you. HELP!!!

Libster don't worry about it. It will be used in the quilt as will the other WOW's. For the blocks that haven't been made yet I would just rather have solid white if possible. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings by my statement and if I did I am truly sorry. I love the blocks that have been made and they look fantastic!
Jane I have a 4x4" piece, 1/2 of a 5" triangle and about a 2x4" strip if that will help you. I'd be glad to put them in the mail just let me know.

I've got my Libster fabric in a Petri dish trying to make it grow!

Love the block! Kudos to you all who know the names. I'm just trying to remember to call them blocks not squares. Not to mention having everyone's out of the bag with the note pinned to it on the wallboard. I keep having to refer to the GT board to reinforce in my mind who I'm working on. Forever will you all be referred to in my mind as "purple flowers", "zebra", "beautiful green" pebbles & BamBam", "Civil war", "orange" "Amish", "romantic", "blue mums" " log cabin/star"....... Oh the things my mind does to keep busy.

I'm on bed warming duty for a few days, that's why I'm hoping Libster's fabric is growing while I'm not watching.
