Billi, I found a quilt block that intrigues me, it is using the same technique as the dragonfly block from the last swap. I don't know if there is enough fabric to make it, but if there is do you mind me using that technique again?

I figured out a way to make it work w/ the f8 if I make the center block 2 shades of pink then the outer blocks pink and print, however I would need the whole f8 so if I get a scant one it might not work. I'll pm you my addy. I just did a mock up of the center w/ the two pinks I want to try a little tweek, but it is going to have some thick seams
I just reread and realize you didn't send the scant ones so either way will work for me, the two pinks look good together

Billi here is a sneak peek. This will be the center square if I use the original f8.

On the subject of photos, everyone should be shrinking their photos to under 200kb whenever possible. If you can get them smaller, so much the better. In a couple of weeks, we're going to get picture heavy and huge files do bog down the thread. SHRINK, SHRINK, SHRINK those photos. No 3 MB files. Also, while we are on the subject, always remember to remove all personal properties from your photos before posting. It's an extra step but helps ensure your privacy.

I cut the tricky part today b/c I didn't want to forget how I figured to do the tricky part before I got the fabric. (fussy cut, directional, stripe on bias odd kite shape) Just an fyi, the stripe in this block is the back side of the fabric of the stripe I used in your block from the previous swap.

Seven more pkgs are in but haven't been opened yet. They are from Terriamn, AnnaQuilts, Katsdar, Moonrise, MonaG, Nelco and GramE. Will try to go through them tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

    Getting there quickly. Thank you.

Anyone else doing the mad dash and trying to get other projects or swaps done so they can hit the ground running once the Fat 8s come in?

I think I will clear my table too. I work on a very large conference table, 4 x14 feet.

I am very excited to get going on this but I am not as talented as Kassaundra that I can make blocks without the Fat 8s being there.

I hope to work on the GT group at the same time as the end of May and June will be busy for me this year. We'll see.
