I have been finishing up my blocks:
All2pieces
Billi
Libster
I have two more to finish.
I worked on this block for two hours and still could not get it right. Never could get it to square up.
Sorry Sewbizgirl, I am going back to the drawing board.

Lstew, don't start over. I like it and I will fiddle with it and make it work. Looks like the two flying geese blocks need to be let out just a bit at the inside seam. It's a cool block!
Love your others, too. You've been busy. That bowl of cherries block is so cheery and happy!

You'll do great! My mom had hers done in her very late 70s; she has tons of health issues, but she sailed through the surgery and the recovery. It'll be fine and you will love how well you'll see.
You ALL make me feel so much better. I worry about my eye sight worse than anything. My cousin has mascular degereration diease?? cant see at all out of one eye and the left is cloudy where she has to use a big magnifier to read mail and cant drive anymore. He did a CT scan yesterday to make sure it wasnt MGD or something besides cataracts and I thanked GOD that it was just cataracts..EVERYONE Ive talked to says I will be so glad to have it done...It makes me feel good to hear of people saying its not a bad surgery...LOL except for the drops afterwards...everyone seems to NOT like them! Wish my dr did the drops during surgery instead of 3 to do for days afterwards!

I dismantled and started fresh. I like this better.

I am now ready to mail. Thank you Janice for hosting such a fun swap. I will definitely be on the look out for the next Boom. Thank you to all my fellow boomers for your support and kind words, especially when things would not go right.

You'll be amazed at how much better you'll be able to see Joan. It's like getting brand new eyes! I've had both of mine done and would do it again in a flash!! Drops yes, but not a big deal and I can't remember any pain at all with either eye. You won't be sorry...
