I love my blocks so far, they are simply beautiful. All of the blocks completed so far are great. I act in our community theater and every evening until after Labor Day, we have rehearsal. My sewing has slowed down until the weekend.

Squeeee! I wanna keep this block! LOL! It's one of those that practically put itself together. The fish screamed "batik" to me, so I poked around in my batiks. Aha! I found some nifty "ocean wave" fabric that I'd been saving for something special! Then I found some green batik that I'd originally considered somewhat beauty-challenged, but I looked at it more closely and hey! It's seaweed! Hope you like the little ocean scene, Joanelizbay! This one was so much fun to make.

Here's the block I made for LUM. Hope you like it! It's hard to tell from the picture, but both of the fabrics I added have metallic gold in them. On the 2-1/2" squares, I only had 12 of them. I wasn't sure how I'd use them, so I stashed them away. When sorting through my box of patriotic fabrics, they jumped out at me. Hope you like the block. It's kind of a cross between a Jacob's Ladder and a Contrary Wife block.
