Mona, I don't remember where I found this pattern. I do remember that it was not a 12 1/2" block. I just drew it out on paper and went from there. The corner blocks and the HSTs are 4 1/2" square. For the HSTs-I cut 2 5 1/4" blocks of the background and the focus fabric, trim to 4 1/2", yield of 4HSTs. the corner stones are 2 1/2" sq. The original pattern has the middle block as a diamond with 4 corner stones. I fussy cut a 4 1/2" block for yours. This is my new favorite pattern now.

Thanks! Yep, I'm a night owl. DH works 12-hour night shifts, so I match his hours. Makes it somewhat easier if we're on the same schedule, although I wish he didn't have to pull 12-hour shifts.

Love my block, I'm just "a tad" partial to the lavenders Thank you so much!!
Beautiful blocks I'm seeing ladies!!!! Would love to see all these quilt blocks put together and into lovely quilts when this is over.
