I don't "get" broken sugar bowl, but I like it, it is pretty. My eyes are to tired to do anything tonight.

Yikes. Glad it was only superficial. Maybe he can get some compression stockings to wear for long car rides? Might help him if the dr. thinks it's ok.

Kass, this is a broken sugar bowl. I didn't name it, Quilter's Cache did.
Pretty! I love Broken Sugar Bowl but I don't get how anyone thought it looked anything at all like one! A broken sugar bowl is a mess. Same for broken dishes. I'm going to invent a block and call it 'broken hopes and dreams'.

GramE love how the block looks 3 dimensional.

Just bough fabric for boom 18, 17 will be a repeat of 16 to get enough blocks

Broken sugar bowl has been on my list because it only needs two colors. Went together well but the measurements were off. Thanks Quilter's Cache /(sarcasm off) But I was alert to the measurements, maybe that's why I missed the empty bobbin.

Well, yours is at the end of my road because I have too many teal/aqua fabrics & couldn't decide a match & I was trying to figure out the focus in your fabric. I decided those 2 flowers would work. Hope it works in your quilt.

Glad to hear someone else has problems with Quilters Cache patterns...They almost always have to be adjusted. Instead of 12 1/2 they come out 12" a lot of the time. Im loving that teal fabric with the red!!

Joan, mine came out 13"+ on one side & 12 3/4" on the other. Could be because I was listening to baseball at the same time I was sewing! Go Cubs.
