Love all the blocks, bibliostone... the music block with the heart in the center made out of clefs (or whatever they are called) is genius!

Love all the blocks bibliostone & GramE what a fun block! It does look like making a lot of the star Sapphire block would make cool 3D patterns for a quilt.

For Moonrise. Jinnie Beyer's Star Sapphire. Fewest seams I think I've done this year to complete a block, 23!
i totally forgot that the Beyer instructions said to cut 8 of each piece & showed 3 templates on the construction page but only two on the to the printer page. And when printed, it only printed 2 Ha, ha. You need 16 of the skinny piece & 8 of the triangle. Only need 2 templates. And you do need to cut 8 one way & 8 reversed! And I think they needed reversed on the triangle, too. How could I forget all that?

The Beacon Star from Jinnie Beyers for QuilterMomma.

Last one for me I think! Some pressing & snipping and lots of order to be restored then on to Christmas things.

It's beautiful, GramE! I need to check out Ginny Beyer. (Or is it Jinny Beyer?)

Thanks GramE! I tried one of her patterns and had to print it at 104% to get the little key up to 1". Next time I think I might print at 106 or 107%, because I had to use very scant seams to get my block to come out to the right size. I'm putting together a variety of 12 blocks in kid's prints, for a donation quilt for a child. The Radiating Star would be a good one!

Do your blocks print out at the right size, or is it just my printer?

i checked the first one but can't remember if I checked the second. First was ok but I still added a fat 1/8" as I cut out each template. I make a sample of one quarter of the square to see how wide my seams need to be. Her templates are iffy at best but I love the blocks.
