Moonwork - This is a grandmothers flower garden "block". I finished my quilt top and wanted to make one for your quilting friend. It always brings back the 60's to me - just like the granny square afghans!
So here is the issue - I am supposed to trim it to 12.5. If you want to use it on the back with the hexi look, I won't trim it. Its your call.

Libster great job!
Here is my block for seasaw2mch. The background is a semi dark grey. The color looks a little different here. Sorry.

Ha... finally on here... been swamped with remodel stuff ... I just want to sew but no, hubby started another project before we got the last one done.... arghhhhh
Loving the hippy blocks... they are great. I'm torn with the hexie block...I think it would fit in with it trimmed as I'm not one to put stuff on the back. That was a tremendous effort I know....hexies and I don't play nice together.
Thanks y'all. Keep showing the pretties and I'll have to invent a new block because all the others will be used up ... when I ever get to work on my fabrics.

The blocks are lovely! The DH and I have spent the day with two grands..8 & 12. Olivia and I made a knit skirt; Jonah made a wood thingy. I haven't made a garment in 40 years...the techniques, pattern fit, elastic are all improved!
We picked the pears and plums....in a few weeks,we'll pick apples. The gardens have been lousy...it was too cool, but orchard stuff is great!..I feel for you with the storms...francie

Moon I thought of you non stop this evening. At the campground we had a 70's costume party it was fabulous, laughed so hard my stomach ached, Richard Simmons, the entire gang from Guiligans Island and lots more. But the hippies were out in force, bell bottoms, crocheted vests sunglasses in lavenders and purples, John Lennon Glasses, long hair, big hair, fuzzy hair, braided hair, platform shoes, fuzzy vests, empire floral blouses and lots of beads wrapped around their necks they were all great and I wanted to make a block of each one of them for you
