I made my neice a "wine" quilt...different bottles of wine in greens/purples. I'm not much of a drinker but it was fun to make, It was a quidrofoil (sp) pattern. I think the golds stand out really good with the black in that fabric and I'm sure he would LOVE it.

Beer fabric doesn't offend me in the least.

    Cute tote w/ the runners.

    Yup, were geniuses!

Seriously though, Marietta, welcome to my world! In order to make everything fit, you've got to get the air out of every package, lay them neatly on top of one another in the larger ziplock bag and then wedge it in. As long as there are no fabric returns, I can USUALLY get up to about 36-38 blocks or f8s in a single package. However, as soon as swappers ask for fabric returns, or if ziplocks larger than quart sized or those with hard zippers are used, or if extras are given, all bets are off and the mailing may have to be done in a medium box. If I suspect that's going to be the case, I'll contact you about it.

Maybe I am doing something wrong...Or using wrong padded envelope?

The padded envelope we use is https://store.usps.com/store/browse/...uctId=P_EP14PE this one from the post office. I always order my free envelopes to be delivered for free because my post office does not keep them in stock. They have 2 kinds priority and priority express. unless you wait till the last minute to ship the extra shopping expense is not necessary

Our Christmas plans changed radically Wed. night when I was suddenly hit with some sort of brain "incident". I had extreme vertigo and was deathly ill. Had to be hospitalized overnight and the entire family plan to go to Virginia for Christmas was suddenly OFF. When the hospital let me go a day later we all headed back to Memphis for a "Stay-cation" Christmas at the kid's house. I ruined Christmas for my family... but at least we are still all together. They are being pretty great about it.

Sure hope you're feeling better now. I personally believe things happen for a reason, so just enjoy Christmas with your family, no matter where you are. Your trip just wasn't meant to be this year. You can always plan it for another time.
I've finally got my F8s cut this afternoon. I'm about to iron and package them. I'll get a picture of my fabric before I do all that. I still have to cook potato salad and green bean casserole for tomorrow night at my oldest DD's. She has the flu. She's been sick all week long.
Merry Christmas, All, and a very safe and Happy New Year!
