More wonderful blocks. I love mine cheesehead.
I'm glad everyone we've heard from did ok in the storms. I'm a bit anxious to hear from Klaws but I know power is out. My sister was in Rockledge between Orlando and Melbourne. She's fine but in retrospect realizes she would've been better evacuationing. Between the water coming within three feet of the door and tornado warnings it was a challenging night

Oh my gosh Kass, I just realized that I sewed part of the block I made you wrong!!! I will get on it today to make the correction. I haven't been on here much (because I was sewing), so today when I was reading all of the posts I saw the block I made you and just cringed!

Everyone's blocks are awesome!!!!
We were suppose to be on vacation in Florida this weekend visiting my soon to be father-in-law, but Irma got in the way of our plans. So upsetting to watch all the havoc this storm has unleashed. Luckly he made it through the storm with minor damage to his property. Crazy man lives just north of Naples in Bonita Springs and decided to stay put. Had us worried sick. I decided to sew my worries away this weekend. It did help.
Here is what I got completed:
For Marija: Loved the way this turned out. Had seen the block on pinterest and had to try and figure it out. Not sure what the name of it is. Anyone know? Anyway....it's my new favorite block to do. This one is done with the wide border.

This is for JayneW:
It's called Marlena's Choice because Marlena made a mistake in the original pattern (called Love in the Mist) and fixed it with her own version.

This is for Libster. It's called Hovering Hawks.

This is for Kass. Same block as Marija except with the narrow border.

I believe this is for MonaG. I'm at work so I had to look at the fabrics in the gallery to identify each person's fabric. I didn't see her fabrics. In the blocks section of the gallery she was the one with all the Black and white with a splash of color blocks. Pretty certain this is hers. Once again I did the Hovering Hawks block. Loved how this block came out!

Hope everyone likes their blocks. I'll be back at it after work today.

Mona g. I'm going to give you three choices for your block.
1. The Celtic block is made from your fabric but I didn't use a solid color as directed. The block is not as off kilter as the picture makes it look.
2. The second block is not made from your fabric but I believe it would go well with your squares. I made it as a practice block last boom.
3. I have enough fabric left to make you a modern block.
Let me know which one you prefer

Look at all those beautiful blocks. I'll try to add them right now. Storm is ramping up here now and lights are flickering more. All it's going to take is the right tree to come down outside our neighborhood and we'll lose power. In our neighborhood, power lines are underground. Well, better get to it.
