Let's be especially kind this round as far as scents are concerned. If you wash with scented detergents and use fabric softeners (I don't use a softener so I never considered this possibility) or if you use scented starches, please AIR OUT the F8s before packing. A couple of days of airing will substantially cut down on the aromas. Same for those of you who may smoke. Please air the fabrics away from the smoke, if possible. However, those of you who are sensitive, please consider airing the F8s as well once you receive your package. It's simply not realistic to expect to remove all aromas, so please take your own precautions. And let's not forget about our pets. Some Boomers are allergic to pet dander so exercise caution and try to keep your pets as far away from the F8s as is reasonable while you prep your fabric. Thank you!

This sounds like fun! Can't wait to do another Boom.

One thing Ive noticed with the QAYG is I use bobbins a lot faster than just piecing. I always have 10 bobbins full and use them until Im down to the last full one then refill the others. Ive had to refill a lot more this week...Got all the animal prints done, now just figuring out how to connect them and the placement. I admit I LOVE doing each block seperate!!
Nothing fancy, just following the lines of the block but its sure fun!!

I do the same with bobbins, Joan. I fill a ton of white ones at one time, as those are the ones I use most.

Can't wait to see the animal print quilts! I still have not done anything with my blocks, but will make charity quilts with them as soon as I can get to it. Now that I know how to do wide sashings, my blocks will go even farther.

We are excited here at home, as we woke up to a beautiful snowfall of about two inches! Janice, did you get some too? Snow in Mississippi is a big deal.

Here in NC we've had about 5-6 inches of snow in Boone. A friend's daughter just face-timed some pics to us. Down here in the Piedmont, we're expecting maybe a couple of inches tonight.

Terri, I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose a family member, I lost two in under two months this year. You and your family are in my thoughts at this difficult time. (((((Hugs)))))
