Boom 19 - Autumn

Thank you. To get a stripe to go the same way in an HST, I cut my square just a little larger than I want my finished piece to be, lay the pattern the same way for both, then sew top left to bottom right on one and top right to bottom left on the other. And just because I didn't want to leave anything to chance, I stitched the first one, cut, sized, and placed it then placed the second one to make sure it was right.

I want to thank everyone for the kind words about my blocks. I am having such a good time and will probably have my blocks finished way in advance. I guess I should have joined in the Summer group also. But, since this is my first boom I thought it best to just limit myself to one. This is a great group and am happy I joined in.

I've finished the blocks for Summer and will start on these soon. Have a few things to do first, table runner, wall hanging and finish a customer quilt ( just waiting on the rest of the fabric to arrive). Love the blocks everyone is making and I like your nautical flags mollym, thank you.

One more block done! Has anyone kept track of how long it takes you to do different blocks? This time I thought I would keep a record of the cutting and sewing time.I'm not keeping track of the time it takes to pick out the right block and fabrics. That might be too much! Well, I've always known I was a slow sewer, but some of these still surprised me. Anyway, here is jaba's block:
