Boom 19 - Autumn

That is outstanding, Kass! The embroidery really made it special. I see fabrics I remember from past booms... Beautiful butterflies on sky background... too great! That would make a nice wall hanging, all by itself.
I've been completely stumped as how to handle her huge pansies....

Great blocks Sewbiz. Yes there have been several repeats in fabric. The brown squares in the fussy cut bird block were what was left from the brown I used in Jaba's owls, the lady bugs were used in the day of the dead block, the large butterfly wings both of those fabrics were used in previous blocks one was for you I believe, I think even the small orange and white wings were used in someone's but can't remember who. Oh and the blue in the fussy cut birds was some of the left overs from Allietere (2 Bonnie Hunter mysteries ago)

Here are two more I made yesterday... my iron died so I couldn't press them until I got a new one today. The first is an Air Castle for MJPencinitas, one of my favorite blocks. Hope it says "Aloha" to you, MJ!
The second is an album block for NanaKathy55's nurse quilt.

Thanks GramE. I got the app. I uploaded the photo but not sure how to get it to the page to post it. I am sorry I am so unfamiliar with the iPad. Thanks so far for the help.

Cheesehead, your block is finally done! This is the most busy block I have ever done for any boom. It has also been one of the most stressful, I have had a "love / hate" relationship w/ this one from the beginning, but in the end I can say I like it and hope you do too. It is made of dresden blades, and I even snuck in a dresden center circle. The outline and antenna took nearly a whole skein of embroidery floss. You might not recognize it at first but your fabric is in there, w/ almost no left overs of your fabric. I've been calling it flying flowers.

We arrived home yesterday from our vacation to find out my mother had just passed away. She died in her sleep and she had just turned 89 on July 4th. She was still independent she lived in her home and was able to drive herself to the store. She hadn't been sick so we know it was just time for her to be called home to be with the Lord.
