SBG, a whole bolt! What a treat. Lots of options with that much!
We have more snow forecasted for the weekend. I ought to shovel the driveway before going to work tomorrow morning. I slipped a lot trying to use it after work today. It's quite a steep upward slope, so not handy to drive on when it's full of ice and snow.
    Time to make chili!

Janice, glad to hear you are feeling better. It does take a while to get rid of that crud! I keep stopping in to see if there are new blocks being posted but it has been awhile

Funny... but I am working on repairs to 4 family quilts for a customer. They are very old... probably made in the 50's. I just want to say, back in those days people couldn't care a hoot about getting all the pieces in a block straight. From these quilts and many old tops and quilts I have bought, you can see that once the block was completed, they did not take them apart to fix upside down pieces! The one I am working on now is supposed to have all the same block, with sashing, and just about no two look like the same block! Plus they obviously didn't measure anything but rather "eyeballed" everything. Some blocks had to be shortened just to fit the row beside it. Quite a mish-mosh, but the resulting quilt was just as warm. I think we are much more perfectionist today due to showing quilts in shows and on the internet.

I think this quilt was meant to be a shoo fly, but some of the blocks look like anything but!

Hand pieced, hand quilted antique quilt in the process of being repaired.

I love that quilt... reminds me of the ones my great aunts made out of old clothes back in the day. The quilts are still used to this day by many of us in the family.

Lol, Jaba. I managed to cut (4) 4 1/2 inch squares before I lost interest. Guess I’m not there yet although today I’m feeling better than I have in over a week.

I thought we might enjoy a diversion while we waited for new blocks to be posted!

No new blocks to post yet but there are two under construction. Woo hoo. Think I’m getting a little piecing mojo going. Finally.
