QM, I like your fabric and suggestions. I bought some CW fabric for the Rest and Refreshing quilt along some of us were working on. I've enjoyed those prints, such a historical feel to them, made me feel like quilting surely has a past. It seems like a lot of block swaps I've done in the the last few years were with younger women who loved modern prints.

It's so cold out today. I've stayed in and made myself two more blocks. Hope these give you an idea of what I'm kinda' going for with this quilt.

Lobster has done it again! LOL, just kidding. You are always getting called "Lobster" and I'm always getting called "Showbiz". Maybe it's auto-correct.

Love your blocks, Libster. Especially the second one. You are showing us how beautiful 2-fabric blocks can be.

Thanks, Sewbiz. LOL I get "Lobster" lots of times. It is from auto-correct.
I like that second block too. It's called "Perfect Petals", but you know I love stars. The center of the star was supposed to be a different color, but I made it my way. It's from Quiltmaker's 1000 Blocks too. I'm really liking this book. It was my Christmas present to me.

Libster you are going to have a beautiful quilt.

pretty much have the scant 1/4” under control on new machine but have some wrong button pressed somewhere. Machine won’t let me sew with the foot pedal. I have to use the start and stop button, very strange.

Everytime this happens to me, it's because the pedal isn't plugged in to the machine or the plug isn't pushed in far enough.

Libster, I bought the Quiltmaker's 1000 book right before the last boom and also love it. Most of the blocks I made were from it - I can spend lots and lots of time looking through it.

I bought and downloaded the Quiltmaker's 100 block issues, #1-10. So I have 1000 blocks too, LOL. Are the ones in the big book the same? I look at mine all the time but most seem too complicated or too many fabrics/colors to be good for boom blocks. I haven't had much success there.

I ordered a good used copy of Judy Martin's Ultimate Book of Quilt Block Patterns, because it seems like all the awesome quilts that Don Isewman makes come from blocks in that book. He's always quoting it as his source. There are some truly gorgeous blocks in there. That was my Christmas present to myself, Libster.

Don is working on another really gorgeous quilt from a block in that book. He sent me a sneak peek by email! It's going to be beautiful.

Sewbiz, I have a couple of the 100 block issues too, but I don't know if they're the same as what's in the big book or not. Big help, right?? LOL
