Jayne and Libster, your blocks are so pretty. Libster, I love your fabric and colors. I would want it for myself also.

Sewbiz, I sure hope you feel better soon! It's not fun being sick.

Sorry you've got the crud, Sewbiz. This flu has been really bad this year. So far, I've dodged it (knock on wood). I just hope I keep on dodging it.
I have a roast with potatoes, onions, mushrooms and golden mushroom soup (lots of thyme) roasting in the oven. My kitchen smells so good right now. Outside is rainy and cold. I have 5 yards of flannel washing for my nephew's quilt backing. All in all, a great day to stay inside! Stay warm and safe, Everybody.

Libster, dinner sounds delicious. It was leftovers here...

Question for you (and all), it is ok to put a flannel backing on a regular cotton quilt? I'm making a quilt for my son's girlfriend for her camper van and thought the flannel would be cuddlier. Will my LA lady have an issue??

    Great blocks Libster and Jayne.
Terriemn and Sewbiz take care of yourselves. The flu is nasty this year. Please don’t hesitate to see the doc if it gets worse. Terri surgery just takes a long time to recover from.

    Thinking of you two.

We had gorgeous weather. DH and I played two hours of tennis and I came home and had chocolate milk for a snack. It was good.

I don’t think flannel backing will be an issue with your LA person. I have seen minkie on the back go to a LA. It will be great. Soft and comfy.

Weather has been great here in CA.

Make sure you wash and dry the flannel. Flannel shrinks much more than cotton.

Yes, always wash and dry your flannel before using it for backing. I like to order the 108"-110" wide flannel. It makes your quilts so soft and warm to cuddle up in. I'm using it for backing on my QAYG quilts too. Everybody that has gotten one loves them.

Oh my what a day. Took younger 2 grands and their friend to a movie. We had to walk a block a half. Made first block ok then did it again. Was looking across the street at a new nursery and didn’t see the large step up between the alley and sidewalk. One minute I was walking and the next minute I was flying through the air. Landed on my left knee and elbow. Very fortunate I didn’t break anything and that I was wearing gloves but still all banged up. Besides scaring myself the grands were very upset when they saw all the blood running Down my leg but they thought I was so brave when I agreed to continue to the movie

Terri, ouch!!! Girl, our bones can't take all that when we're getting older! So glad to hear nothing is broken. I'll bet you'll feel like a mac truck has run over you this morning. I suggest a long hot soak in the tub. Ain't life just grand?!

Libster, You find flannel ok to work with on QAYG? That’s good to know. When you join them, do you use flannel strips as well on the back? If so, it’s not too stretchy? Maybe I’ll use flannel on the back of my “ugly greys”.
