Kass - you are doing it again - you keep raising the bar. Seriously love how your mind works and then your hands actually make it. My original idea for your floral went out the window so put it aside for now.

I see the Kass magic was happening today. Both blocks are amazing, as usual.
Great job with the blues, TG.... Are those for Joan?
DHenson, I love your block! It's one of my favorite classics and the little fishies swimming are so sweet! Great choice of fabrics. It sings! I don't think you are going to have the least problem making our blocks!

I bought the Craftsy precision piecing class a while ago. My applique is fine but I’m not a confident piecer. Although most of my applique use a background of easy piecing.
The Civil war fabric inspired me, as the applique I usually do won’t fit in that quilt. I’m going to try a Carrie Nation block. It’s only squares but we’ll see how it goes. There are two more blocks with triangles in the class, so I’ll do those too. Then I’ll fulfill my goal of at least three pieced squares. The class has step by step instruction on making a 1/4 inch seam, cutting, piecing and ironing. I’ve even corresponded with the author.
Wish me luck!

MJP, piecing is a learning curve we all have to go through. You are so creative, that getting all your skills up to speed will only make you more so! Just keep practicing. Once you get that 1/4" seam (or scant) down, and lining up intersections, it's all going to fall into place. You can do it!
