Thank you, Maude! I DO like it! It's a very striking block. Love the colors and design.

Maude: Great first boom block. Exciting. It looks amazing. The color choices are great. Very cute.

One thing I’ve learned about making blocks for other people is that I am so very cautious and try to be so exact that I am going to become a much better quilter. I can totally see that precise cutting, sewing, & pressing is the key.
I made 2 more blocks with the “Lover’s Knot” block pattern and now I’m on to finding another great pattern to make.
Joan & AnnieQuilts, I hope you like your block. Also, it’s amazing how the same pattern looks so different with differnt fabric.

I can see that joan’s is a little blurry. It really pops in person.

Perfect match to the red in the fabric! Thank you!

    D. Henson, your blocks are looking great! I am experiencing the same things as you. This is the first time I’ve made blocks for anyone else and my standards are going way up for everyone. I think this will bleed over to blocks I make for myself and make me a better piecer for sure.

I was still feeling motivated, so I made another block. This one is for Libster and is a Crown and Cross. The pattern called for only 2 colors, but I really wanted a bit of purple in the block.

I am glad you like it! I wanted to use gray for the background, but the grays I have are all dangerously close to medium gray.

Great job, D. Henson; wonderful fussy cutting and color placement! Thank you!
