If I set them on point I would have more room to play w/ the surround, and since we all know Libster's fondness for stars why not figure out a surround that would make stars???? But I have a strip of her fabric left just sitting there doing nothing, can't really use the repeats since there are only 2. (well I did try but forgot about mirror image shapes ). That is the thinking process that got me to here.

The purple star points aren't pastel, but they aren't nearly as dark as they look either.

Love it!! I knew it would be fantastic coming from you. Thank you for a special star block.

I've made some blocks this afternoon too. First is Mollymunchkin's. It's a Double Star (what else for Star Wars?).
Second is for Hav4boys. It's a Greek Cross.
Third is for LJDugas31. It's A Dandy. Hope y'all like them and can use them.

More great blocks have popped up since my last visit. I decided to keep working on another block. This one is for Joanelizbay:

Most fabrics I can't there usually is a few each boom that I can. Libster's was barely. There were only 4 and the repeat was such a small part at first I didn't think I could get enough from it.

Nice block for Joan, Maude. Look at how beautifully your points all meet up in the middle.

Kass, you have got to be part magician.

Thank you Maude..I love the color blue you chose! Kass, my sister plays piano and organ, my 93 year old cousin plays piano and organ by ear. I played good on my grandmothers player piano. I have a 1st cousin whos a professional clarinet, piano, sax player that plays on cruise ships...I think we all got the musical part from my grandfather who played in the local community band years ago...Anything mathmatical though forget it for me! Includes pp..

Janice I have enough of Bootsys fabric. Ill put it in the mail today to you!

    Good Saturday morning ladies

I have 2 more to share these are for Terri which I enjoyed looking for patterns for them that didn't feel feminine. The first I call beer garden, a 4.5 inch square was a great size for fussy cutting this one.

This one I found several booms ago and tried to use many times but the right fabric was just never sent. I was so excited to finally get a chance to finally make it. I'm calling this one cigar toss.

Also Terri when you get this one you will notice the stay stitching I decided to do. All of the edges are on the bias and I thought a bit of stabilization was a good idea. Also I swear that a red not orange for some reason no matter what I did it came out with an orange hue.
