When I looked at Mariposa's fabric it had me stumped than I was thinking of a peacock fan with those eyes. When I cut them out my mom said they looked like fish -so I put on a tail. Love it. When I went back to your bag is said WOW only. OOPS - the background is mostly white with lite blue. So I had enough for one square and made the tipsy block with batiks. Hope you can use at least one of them!!

Love the fish!! I finished one for nanakathy. Was going to sew on another one but my stupid dodge Journey started honking on its own again.. It had done that once about 3 months ago and thought I had it fixed. Ended up taking it over to my sons to have him take the fuse out.. Didnt want to keep the neighbors up all night! What do they say about when you get a car paid off problems start?? LOL

Great fish block, TG! Love the other one too. I also saw "eyes" in that fabric. In fact, to me my block for her looks like a one-eyed monster.

Annie Quilts, your Libster block is gorgeous. All of your points converge perfectly in the center! You are a marvelous piecer.

Joan, cool block for NanaK. I love fabric with script. And churn dashes!

Since nobody is going to be reading the old Boom 19 threads, I thought I'd post my first finished quilt from them here. (And in Hummingbird). The blocks I got in Boom 19 are coming to life! To the 9 ladies who made these blocks, thank you and well done! Someone is going to love this lap quilt. Isn't it cute?

It was so much fun to quilt my whole pile of blocks individually and then put them together with QAYG, wide sashing style.

Gorgeous! I am getting really excited to see all of the blocks come together!

I won't have a chance to work on more blocks until the weekend. I can't wait to start working on them again.
