    Sewbiz, love the lap quilt.

I have one for this morning before I start my day running. It's for QuilterMama. Hope it works for you.

Looks great, Libster. QM was so smart to send the background fabric.... It's going to make the quilt so cohesive.

TG ~ Fish! I would not have seen them myself. Very creative! The square in a square block is lovely as well!

Libster & Joan ~ more great blocks!

SBG ~ Terrific quilt with some boom blocks!

TG: fantastic fish block! It is very creative.
Joan: Another great block. That crazy horn, weird how it just starts honking on its own.
Sewbiz: Love the lap quilt!! I've never done the QAYG, seems perfect for these blocks. I'm assuming you would also add the batting to the sashing as well.
Libster: Very nice block for QM.

Yes, with wide sashing you have to insert a strip of batting before closing the top sashing piece. Then I quilted some simple long diamonds over it, to hold the batting strip in place. I love how the quilt is smoother with this method than the narrow sashing joins, tho it is a tad more work. You also add batting to the border strips. Kass posted a nice tute on this method in the tutorials section.

QAYG is absolutely perfect for Boom blocks!

    Very nice Libster.
Sewbizgirl, you got it. Seemed smarter that way. Plus I have some on hand still so I can make a few more blocks if need be. Then from there, will decide my setting, sashing and border fabrics.

One more for today. This one is for QuiltAddict. It's Flutter. I promise it's absolutely 12 1/2" square and straight on each side. I am just a lousy picture taker. I give up. LOL
