Wow, I love my blocks. Kass, That BB8 is adorable.Joan, D. Henson, and Annie, your blocks are going to make an awesome quilt. I had no idea what to do with the comic book fabric, but you have done wonders with it. My grandson is going to love it. And for those of you that think you are behind, I haven’t even started. DH volunteered me to make a baby quilt, so I’ve been working on that.

Sure loving that patriotic block....and the comic book blocks. I just bought some of this military fabric..A panel, and 2 seperate yardages. One has the constitution written on it and the other has helicopters and parashooters. Now to find a pattern that will go with the fabric! Thinking I need to order some of the orange star fabric too...

Graceful Ann, the Boom swap in a nutshell is making blocks with other people's focus fabric, to work in their quilt. You add fabric from your stash in whatever color(s) they choose to go with their focus fabric. Blocks are 12.5". Everyone sends a fat eighth of their fabric for each member to make a block with. Janice sorts them and sends them out to us. When done, we send them back to her and she sorts again and mails us our collection. Then we make a quilt with them, all coordinated because the same fabric is in each block. You may just have to jump in and try it!

Good luck with your farm block swap. Many of us will be lurking, if not playing.

Ok, several of you are ready to ship so lets do it. Those of you who want to ship early, please go ahead and ship now. If possible, please try to ship so that the arrival date is not a Saturday. That means you should ship on a Friday or Saturday or the beginning of the week if possible. Please let me know you plan to ship and email me the tracking info. Also please do not post tracking info online or copies of your tracking updates.

Go go ahead and ship now. I’m ready!

DH, look at those points. Way to go. Love your color choices too.

Silly me, I didn’t realize that the largest size block in the book isn’t always a 12.5”. This block was 13”. Luckily I was able to adjust the middle seams and didn’t ruin the points. I am certainly becoming great friends with my seam ripper!!!
