A nice week or 2 in the sun just might be what the doc ordered.

Hubby is back to to work, oldest went back to Texas and i’m Enjoying sitting on the couch listening to the quiet.

Would like to work in more FMQ on last boom but just plain to cold in that part of basement. Instead I will work on clearing off the cutting table. If I fold and put everything away as I should instead of getting sidetracked it just won’t take that long

I have my baggies all ready to send. I am looking forward to getting everyone's fabric. I did a little shopping over the holiday break to get some WOW and COC into my stash.

I bumped into this site with some nice block patterns:

    http://marysriverquiltguild.org/activities.html

They are part of a free BOM for 2018, 2017, and 2016. 2016's blocks are my favorite of the group.

I glanced at this yesterday, but didn't have any time to understand what you were asking or to look at the pattern much. I'll give it a look and a think later after a nap. This has been a particularly bad week at work. I have worked 2 house fires the one a few days ago the elderly woman got out unharmed but lost her pets (and everything she owned, the one this morning the man got out alive, we flew him to the burn hospital, but his whole family (wife and two children ) didn't make it, I am just drained this week.

Apparently, they lost their 'bird's eye view' of fish dinner swimming in a pond and just fly on by us. I'm sorry to hear about your chickens. It's sad, especially when you name them and they are pets with personalities you come to love.

I was wondering if you could download the Merry Mayhem mystery quilt clues today? What do you think could be done regarding the medium light and the medium dark fabric, in order to give the pattern more interest? It's a large area of the same fabric, when the blocks are sewn together. Could the triangles be striped fabric and come out with the stripes at right angles? In my mind, I'm thinking that with the sewing method used, the stripe would just continue to run the same direction... I'm thinking I might make a second quilt top with this pattern, but maybe I'll consider changing up the lights and darks vs. the mediums, as one of the mediums I was thinking of is a solid. Maybe I shouldn't use a solid at all. Any suggestions, anyone?

Oh, Kassaundra, your job is so vital but I can only guess how heartbreaking it can be sometimes, maybe often. Hugs...

Just wanted to let the people who joined for the first time that I made a bonus xmas block for all in the 2 month group. I had some xmas material and thought maybe you could all use them. It is just an extra block for you. No need to send me another block as this is not part of the boom 20.

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday

Kass, so much tragedy in those house fires. I'm sure it takes a lot out of you. This is house fire season, too, with people using space heaters and other unsafe sources of heat. Thank you for what you do.

Bootsy, so nice of you to give us all a bonus block. Looking forward to seeing it!

It's not a matter of "need". If you wish to make and receive 19 blocks from the 2 month group, send 19 f8s. You are only required to send 15 so you'll receive 15. Some people want to get as many as they can. Totally your choice.
