Givio that is a fantastic Churn Dash. Ive never made a block using that pattern, even though I love it. My Carpenters Star will be the center piece for the quilt and the blocks you all make will go around it. I want to try the "on point" layout someday..just not sure when. I did my black/white zebra blocks as QAYG but decided it wasn't big enough so I added a pink border about 6 inches all the way around. That was a treat trying to figure out how to quilt the borders to it with the fabric I had. Luckly it worked out with only about 2" to spare. Ive got 2 rows of the other animal prints with the sashings on them but haven't put them together yet.

Who was it that embroderied the giraffe on the one leopard print? Got me to thinking Id love to have a machine to do embroidery but not sure I could afford the cost of one or the patience to figure out how to use it! I just love the embroidery you all have done for me in the past 15 or so swaps!!

Terri, love your fabric! Just winter, huh? I didn't see this one when I ordered or I would have ordered it too.

I embroidered the giraffes Joan. The Brother PE 770 is an embroidery only machine that is wonderful for beginners. Pretty easy learning curve. It goes on sale now and then for $500.00. I am ready to trade up but trying to decide if it is really worth it or not.

Libster they had the fabric in several other shades of blue and thought about combining the different blues but decided I liked this one best.

Thanks, girls for the nice comments!
mjp, I'm glad you lurked at the Round Robin. Jumping into a swap sometimes takes some forethought. I haven't quilted my top from it yet because I think it needs something more, and didn't decide yet what. I like the idea of a blue and white quilt. You've got some fun fabric there!
terriamn, Great, another blue, and in my group! It's the same for me-- I don't go for a lot of white for a quilt that I keep for myself, because of the little-dog-jumping-on-the-bed factor. :-)

I am going to be near a fabric store tomorrow so I prepared my boom fabric today to see how much I needed to get. Good news I had just enough w/ a blender or two I had in the stash. Each of the blender fabrics will have a small piece of the print to get an idea of colors in it. I will probably look anyway, because, well it never hurts to have extra right??? lol lol lol
