Kass, did you consider that for a border?

Merry Christmas to all! I've got church and family events the next days, and hope to have some quiet time to sew and finish up my second Churn Dash top. I finished a quilt for my DIL, to give her tomorrow, and hope to get a picture of it before I come home again. No time to take a picture tonight.

Bibliostone, what's the scale of the hot air balloons? Say the largest red one in the pic and the smallest? Thanks!

I am requesting red, the darker blue and if you need another color, the gold in the fabric. Love the fabrics and sample blocks that have been shown.

If I keep the cornerstones a white square, they will form a white star for each one.
I have seen a few quilts with a busy sashing and honestly I really like them. It's just one more element that makes them unique and draws your eyes to them. Also I love those little hexi units.

I'm still trying to decide what color scheme in going with for boom 20. I will once again use fabric from my stash so everyone will not get the same fabric.

I'll be using stash fabric also. Usually I buy small pieces of fabric, because I like to make my quilt tops scrappy. I probably won't find a single length of fabric in order for everyone to get the same fabric, so it will be a mixture of F8s.

I saw there was some chat about brown quilts earlier. I just gave my DIL this quilt. It also has other colors too-- but a lot of brown. I thought you might like to see it. The avatar I'm using right now is the same block pattern that is upper left in this quilt.

    Again, Merry Christmas!

What a beautiful quilt, Givio! It's fabulous! Those connecting chains really set off the special blocks.

New discovery: if you leave a partly-written post, it runs away!!!

I'm loving all the pictures. Interesting fabric choices and beautiful WIP's and finished quilts.

I've been trying to decide on fabric but keep changing my mind. Couldn't be that my stash is too big, could it?

Givio, love the brown quilt. Most of my quilting is for Project Linus so I don't use much white; don't want the kids pressured to keep it clean. It sets off the rest of your quilt so nicely I may have to change my thinking.

Teriamn, there's lots of creative opportunity in your fabric, but those cigars scare me! lol

Kass: you are about to become my newest favorite teacher. Have you ever tried the Squedges from Phillips Fiber Arts? (no affiliation, I enjoy looking at their designs.)

Everyone, may you have the happiest holidays ever!

Merry Christmas, everyone. We are off to see Darkest Hour at the theater. (Winston Churchill in WWII). Wishing you all peace and joy!
