Wow, we have a book written since the last time I looked here!
Some cute blocks, Kass! They look like a 'labor of love.'
SBG, What a cutie for your avatar! It's not always easy to get a good shot of a pet, but that's a great one! Is he a Maine Coon?

Cheesehead, what a shame you can't get to Hancocks... It's amazing.
MJP, your plan sounds awesome!
Givio, the kitty is Dalilah, my grandcat. She and her brother were visiting us for Christmas. She is supposed to be part Rag Doll and maybe part Maine Coon. She doesn't make the Maine Coon trilling noises, tho. Her 'brother', Leo, is part Maine Coon for sure, and part Russian Blue. He's the smoky gray color and is huge and trills his head off. It was so much fun to have them here and they got along fairly well with our kitty and dog. The dog loves the cats... a little too much!

The house seems so quiet and empty. All the kids have gone back home, as of yesterday.
Today I have to find something to do with the huge leftover turkey breast. I was thinking of some kind of turkey and rice casserole... anyone have a good recipe? Maybe a turkey soup too.

Kass, Love your striped blocks!
I have to admit I do not know what Hancocks is... I'm assuming a super awesome quilt shop? Speaking of which, we just home from a long weekend in Salt Lake City and I stumbled upon an amazing shop - I bought lots of little pieces of wool for a block of month/applique quilt at my LQS. I can not wait to go back to this shop (Elaines Quilt Block) when I have more time and money!

You can go online and request a catalog if you can't get to the store, but if you are ever near enough to stop by, you won't regret going in, in person. There are always lots of sales and reductions that aren't in their catalogs.

Happy to report the family and I have turned the corner and are on the mend.
Going to go back and read everything I missed so bear with me if I seem to be a little slow
Sewbiz we love Turkey soup. We make turkey vegetable soup then freeze in quart bags.
with everyone being under the weather here a lot of food was unfortunately wasted

Fun picture Terriamn. Glad your family is finally on the mend. I asked all my kids to get flu shots before they show up tomorrow. I think they all did it a month ago. Of course that’s no guarantee.
My husband does the cooking, although I did make the turkey this year. He made turkey soup, turkey salad (he always makes homemade mayonnaise). I also like turkey tetrazzini. I love turkey.
We freeze in bags too. When we go on our monthlong camping trip we take those bags with us.
