Today was one of the hardest days in my life. Went to funeral home and my sister was ok for the first 5 minutes then was inconsolable and had to leave the room. I made what I hope were the best decisions for her along with BIL’s son and sister. Wrote hubby that we are going to sit down and make our arrangements so the kids don’t ever have to go through this.

Oh Terri, I'm glad you were there and strong enough to make those decisions. I don't know how people do it once their loved ones have died. How can you think in the midst of that much grief? Hubby and I need to make decisions too. Haven't done it yet.

I sometimes think to myself that Im glad Im not married anymore. I have my will made, my funeral arrangements, etc so Im hoping that no one will have to go thru that. Im thankful you were there Terri and had the strength to help them out.. Please do talk to family or husband or whoever ...working in a nursing home you wouldn't believe the people that had NO idea what they have. Just got thru meeting with one family who thought they had a burial plan but it turned out to be life insurance...BIG difference
... My BIG gripe now is state retirement is forcing us to take a "medicare replacement plan" because they don't want a medicare supplement plan anymore. Its either take it and the drug plan or find a new (three times the cost) supplement and new drug plan or do without....They shouldn't make getting older so hard!!!

Love to you Terri. People like you are what make the world a bearable place. The support you have given your sister is a shining example to all of us of the good in the world. I can only imagine how hard it has all been. Be sure to take care of yourself.
