My son has to work Thur and Fri but the fact he gets triple time for the holiday and Friday makes it worth while. He luckly got Christmas Eve and Day off...SO looks like Ill be home alone on Thanksgiving. Id usually go to their house so I don't have to move my sewing stuff around but Ashley and the kids are going to her parents and I just don't feel right being there since its not really MY family.. How do you spell N O??? I don't know how to say it to my son And definitely not to my grandkids!! We got SNOW!! yeah...more snow in Nov than we had ALL last winter..and its not even winter yet! Logan and I got to have our lst ever snowball fight!! Suppose to get more this weekend.
Working on a St Louis Blues quilt and having trouble finding hockey fabric to match the yellow and blue in the main fabric..Ill have to figure something out soon since its a Christmas present! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone!!

Thanks Joan... hope you have a happy Thanksgiving too.
It would probably mean a lot to your grandkids to have you with them on Thanksgiving... Are you sure you won’t go? You might have a great time.
I’m cooking the feast here, and the kids are coming to the woods for Thanksgiving. Yay! Again I’m faced with the dilemma of what to cook for son-in-law, who is vegan.
Just finished enlarging my husband’s quilt. First had to make all the extra blocks, then tear off the binding. I added the two rows of 12” blocks, plus batting and backing with a technique by Marti Michell, called “encased seam”. Then I had to quilt the new section to match the rest of the quilt. Lastly, add some more binding and sew it all back on. I am so glad to get that project behind me.

I work Thursdays so on thanksgiving day I will be working. It is of no consequence to me though since I'm not much for celebrating it anyway. I have issues w/ the concept of celebrating a act of kindness that was repayed w/ attempted genocide.

This year my friend and her daughter invited me over. It will be just us three. I felt it was important to accept the invitation since she doesn’t have any family and I care about her and her daughter.

What Thanksgiving means to me is being thankful for our blessings, our bounty, our families.... It's my favorite holiday but is a very family oriented holiday. I can see that those without good family relationships might not enjoy it.

I went to a grief support group Sunday. Went thinking I’d go to learn how to better support my sister. The realization hit me that this would be my first Thanksgiving without Mom and grief over women me. My eyes have been leaking quite a bit since. Going to enjoy our family Thanksgiving and remind them to love each other and embrace their differences.
