It went good except my needle holder or foot kept hitting the side of the hoop so I was wondering if they made a foot for my Singer that was like a long arm foot, with the little circle at the end? Kind of like the foot on the embroidery machine I got from Terri...If it had a longer arm then it wouldn't hit the hoop (or my fingers) when I got in the way! LOL...Its not "that" good but ill try to take a picture tonight before basketball game....with 3 14 year olds Im getting tired of football, basketball, baseball, tball soccer….but Ill miss it when its over...

Joan, there is a special foot for rulers that is a circle but has taller sides, so it can glide around the ruler without slipping under it and causing a needle to break. Check out some ruler quilting videos... Angela Walters on YouTube is great.

Thanks Sew..I looked on sewingmachineparts.com for my Singer 9410 but didnt see anything that was "in stock". Ill check out her video on Youtube. Ive seen people using those ruler templates so Ill have to check it out. Its more like the screw that holds the needle in is what hits the hoop now that I look at it...hmmmm..I know this isnt very good so dont laugh but for my lst time I am very happy with it. No bunching up like Ive done before.. Thanks for NOT laughing LOL.

Cute circles! I always say, 'what it lacks in perfection, it makes up for in charm'. I love the charm of an obviously handmade piece.

Probably your needle screw is hitting the hoop because the hoop is too high for this kind of quilting. Quilting rulers are only about 1/4" thick. The foot is about the same height, so it all works together. I know that there are some machines that have to use a lower foot and rulers, which means you have to buy all different rulers to use on it. If you are interested in this kind of quilting you really should get the right foot and ruler.

Proud of you for trying new things!

Great job, I think quilting is the hardest part of "quilting"

Been working on Native Cubes for a little boy. Here is the basic layout, I will work on the edges (removing the extra on 2 sides and adding to finish the cubes on the other two sides) and "float" the shape of cubes on a background of black.

Joanliz way to go. You did great. Free motion quilting is very intimidating at first

Kass love your Native cube. It has so much movement

Joanelizbay! Good for you for being brave enough to even try. To this point I have paid $ for someone to LA all my quilts. I know I need to start the learning curve, but it is so daunting. I would love to say you motivated me to try, but I'm still a big chicken!
