Three beautiful star blocks, Libster, Cheesehead and PamelaOry... can't go wrong with stars in a quilt! I love those deep indigo fabrics. And the froggy block is so cute. Great fussy cutting.

Got my Ringo Lake quilt all quilted so now I will bind it and two other small quilts. Then I can get back on the blocks for Waves.

I have very good news. The wolf quilt I made has been "lost" the PO said it was out for delivery on the 22 of June. But my Uncle didn't get it, he has been questioning several different family members that could have got the mail none of them knew anything about it. He had been to the PO several times w/ the tracking number but no one knew what happened to it. Well today he got a knock on the door, seems the box fell off a cart and ended up in a bin of "empty" boxes. The employee responsible for crushing the empty boxes has been on vacation. She got back today and went to do away w/ the empty boxes and found one to heavy to be empty and hand delivered it to him this am!!!!!!!! This is a part of the response I got from him "I MUST TELL YOU THAT I NEVER THOUGH IN A MILLION YEARS I'D BE LOOKING FORWARD TO WINTER BUT I AM. THIS QUILT IS SO BEAUTIFUL I CAN'T GET OVER IT. IF I THANK YOU FOR IT EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE IT WON'T COME CLOSE TO SHOWING MY APPRECIATION FOR IT. I TOTALLY LOVE IT. IT'S JUST PLAIN AWESOME. I ALSO FEEL THE LOVE AND TIME YOU PUT INTO IT. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!! I WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS ISN'T WOOD THAT'S TALKING, I LOVE AND APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN WORDS CAN EVER SAY. "

One for Have4Boys and one for Cheesehead. Amazing how when I had the fabric in hand all I saw was purple and pink. Now all I see are green and blue!

Ah, Kass, that thank you note makes every stitch you made so worth the time, the thought, and planning that went into his quilt. That man loves his quilt and his niece! What a special person he must be. You will never doubt that that is a much loved quilt!

When I was young we traveled a lot, by a lot I mean a lot, I have lived in 36 states been in 48 plus Canada and Mexico. Many times we would leave in the middle of the night and only take what we could carry or live for extended time in the vehicle. In addition to this we almost never got any "gifts" of any kind. My father was a drug addict and barely bought food and shelter let alone any luxuries like gifts. My 11th birthday this same uncle bought me a very tacky doll dressed in victorian type dress w/ fiber optic filaments coming out of her hat. Anyway 11 year old me even knew it was tacky, but it was almost the only gift I had ever got so it was treasured by me. A couple of months later we had to leave in a hurry and I couldn't take my doll. I was crushed cried for days, then that same uncle came to me and gave me two tiny (tiny so I could carry them w/ me no matter what) ceramic birds of absolutely no monetary value, but to this day are my prized possessions. Now I have received many gifts over the years but very few of such worth to me.
