Hi Boomers! This fabric is for a patriotic quilt I want to make for my son who served in the Army. Feel free to use any color you think works for the design you want to work on. The joy of being an American is the diversity of life here so, all your blocks, whatever you chose to create, will be great for this quilt. Thank you for sharing your love of quilting with me! I really am happy with whatever you creative people want to make. These are normal sized irregular stripes, despite how big they look in the photo, and the colors are pretty much those darker civil war hues that are rampant these days.

Might these be Stripes you cannot tame? Don’t think such a stripe exists.

Question cane up about the number of stitches per inch please use a minimum (not maximum) of 10-12 stitches per inch for regular piecing. If you are paper piecing, you will need many more than that as experienced pp’ers know. My goal here is to get no more blocks in with 6 or 8 stitches per inch. Those often start falling apart right out of the bag. Thanks!

NanaKathy, need a reply to my Pm!

    Perfect, D.Henson!

D.Henson - are we going to just use the fabric sent or can we add? Love the color combo.
And I do recall a Halloween type fabric with a black cat in it - but were told not to make it halloweenish. Anything goes!!
